Floral Kimono

Y’all I’ve really missed this blog! My life feels like it has been on fast forward these past few months. While still busy, the end of April has been a like a fresh breath to me. Last weekend was beautiful, so we spent time outside with zero cell phone reception. It was amazing and refreshing and everything I needed. It gave me a much needed second wind to successfully finish out this last semester of undergrad. My internship is coming to an end and it has been a great experience. While I’ve been absent from the blog, I was accepted into grad school at OU and inducted into the National Social Work Honor Society. Checking both of these things off of my personal and professional goal list feels like a huge relief.

With that being said, I’m more than excited for graduation. I’m taking summer classes, but holding off on job hunting so that we can get moved to Norman and settled in. But I’m sure I’ll be itching to get out in the field to start my career sooner than later.

Let’s talk clothes. I’ll probably do a collective post of all of my favorite spring outfits since I haven’t posted them individually. But, this is one I thought deserved its own post. Kimonos and floral are EVERYTHING this spring. I may or may not have gone on a kimono purchasing binge, where I only bought kimonos for a good month. I just love this one! We took a weekend trip to Houston a few weeks back to meet Billy’s new nephew and while we were there I finally had the chance to actually shop in-store at Styles for Less. If you don’t creep Styles for Less weekly, you need to. They have the most amazing steals. The kimono and tank of this outfit were found there. Let me just fall in love with this tee all over again. If you know me, you know I’m OBSESSED with Garth Brooks. So, the fact that these are partially lyrics in his song “Rodeo” was a dead giveaway that I had to have this shirt. I feel like this outfit is the perfect mix of effortless style while still incorporating two of spring’s biggest trends.

We added a new furry member to our family 🙂 She’s been with us for about a month and to this date, the best name we’ve been able to come up with is “Kitty”. Orignial, right?
